My name's Allan Parker, and I'm an Operative Here at DNV. Being an operative can mean anything from welding, a bracket to paint a bracket, a lot of tele handler work, a lot of assisting works, lifting with the crane, that sort of thing. But the most exciting thing about my role is that every day is different. We're doing something different and we're doing it for the bigger purpose on the, uh, hydrogen project, that was really interesting. So we started off with a kitchen cupboard. We're putting tins of beans in and we'll put a small charge or whatever, small amount of concentration, hydrogen, see what happens, put different things in the kitchen,  cupboards, um, spatulas, cos spoons, all sorts of stuff. And we would sort of blow that up, see, see what, what happened. And then we did a hair dryer to see if the hair dryer would ignite the hydrogen. And then we went on to what's known as an explosion chamber, the big metal chamber. And we were putting mock house mock houses, theoretically with sofa chairs. Um, and obviously the scientists were putting different concentrations in and doing all you, all the stuff that they do. But it was really interesting to see what, what happened. We had stud walls in there, internal doors, you know, lots of just basically seeing what happened. It was really interesting. It's a fantastic culture. Everyone's really friendly, helpful. You ever got a problem? People jump on it. You shout on that radio, you know, I'm struggling or whatever. The response you get is absolutely amazing. I've just recently been made a deputy team leader, so I'm on the first step to management, which is absolutely great for me. Something I've wanted to do for a long time, but never really had the opportunity. And here we are. Every day I get checked in with either my team leader or my head of section, or it might just be passing, but they just always want to have a bit crack everything. Okay? Anything you need, I'm at the heart of it because I believe I'm making a difference to provide a greener and safer future for everybody.
