The Story
Driving global learning with purpose
Ramanie has been a driving force behind DNV’s global training and development services for almost 20 years. Currently serving as Global Training Services Manager, she plays a key role in aligning DNV’s training portfolio and delivery models with the organisation’s strategy and ambitions.
“I’ve always believed that training is more than just transferring knowledge; it’s about enabling transformation. At DNV we help companies understand, adapt, and innovate for a safer and more sustainable future,” Ramanie says.
Expanding learning capabilities worldwide
With over 25 years of experience in quality assurance, sustainability, and business transformation, Ramanie has led initiatives that expanded our training capabilities across regions.
She has overseen the development of innovative learning products, integrated Learning Management Systems (LMS) with our core platforms like Oracle and Power BI and advanced the use of AI-enhanced training tools. Her leadership has helped ensure consistent quality, third party accreditation, and customer satisfaction across regions.
From local leadership to global impact
Before moving into her current global role, Ramanie held several management positions in Sweden, where she led the Training and Personnel Certification Services team. During this time, she contributed to launching new certification schemes, including one for recruitment professionals - a service that was later adopted in other markets.
A global mindset shaped by experience
Ramanie’s journey from Sri Lanka to the UK and now Sweden has shaped her perspective and leadership style.
“I value diversity and inclusion not just as principles, but as essential drivers of innovation. Working across cultures has shown me how different perspectives lead to better solutions and stronger teams,” she says.
Looking ahead
Ramanie remains passionate about sustainable business growth through quality, innovation, and learning. She continues to explore how emerging technologies, especially AI, can enhance how DNV supports both customers and employees in developing future‑ready competencies.
“Every training course, every project, every improvement we make connects back to our purpose: to safeguard life, property, and the environment. That’s what makes this journey meaningful,” she says.
