My name is Rafal. I am an ICT Business Development Manager in Business Assurance Poland. The main role of the auditors is checking, controlling and confirming, first of all, if the system of our customers meet the requirements of the ISO standards or any other standards what we can deliver for our customers. My work life as an auditor is completely different than employees who are working from the office every day, because usually I'm travelling to our customers. I need to plan some travel, some accommodations. If I need to explain something or clarify then I can contact with the office, then I always have support from my colleagues and from my manager. I think people is most important in DNV because I can cooperate with my colleagues and even if I would like to get some new knowledge about completely different areas, what I know, then I can ask my colleagues from different departments, then I can share some information related to my knowledge, to my experience. We can build our own culture, not only for Poland, but for any other countries. One example is morning coffee. Then we can meet in the morning before our working, then it is something like a warm-up. Then we can meet and discuss about what happened yesterday and what plan we have for today. DNV supports me to switch my role from IT guy to lead auditor. It means I've got a background that I can deliver for our customers additional knowledge about IT systems.
