About Group functions

Group functions in DNV are experts on finance and accounting, human resources, communication and sustainability, legal, tax and compliance – providing company-wide support, governance and strategic projects. Group also includes our strategic Research and Development unit, which provides science-based insights and foresight to tackle transformations and challenges across the industries we serve.

About the role

As the UX Designer in Group function, you will drive the development and implementation of user-centered design for company-wide digital channels.

You will be part of a team of highly skilled colleagues with expertise in areas like digital customer experience, web development, analytics and brand strategy. In addition, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Group functions, Business Areas, and Global Shared Services.

The role will be part of the Group Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability function.

The working language is English and this position is based in Høvik, Norway.

Key responsibilities:

  • Convert our digital CX strategic direction and roadmap into end‑to‑end experience designs. Take ownership of and lead the digital design process at Group level—covering navigation, information architecture, page templates, and components ready for development.
  • Lead service‑blueprint‑level thinking for priority journeys, producing flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
  • Establish and govern our group-wide digital design system in collaboration with business areas and brand.
  • Support in strategic alignment and concept development for new areas to explore.
  • Embed experimentation from day zero: define hypotheses, KPIs, run user tests and A/B tests to validate design decisions.
  • Instrument designs with digital feedback and journey metrics.
  • Champion accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA mindset), performance, SEO/GEO, and content design coherence across templates and components.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by actively engaging with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Champion user-centred design principles and advocate for best practices across the organisation.
  • Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and co-creation sessions.

About you

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B/B2C/B2P digital UX, with a strong focus on creating experience for greater engagement and conversion.
  • End-to-End UX Design Expertise: Ability to design complete digital experiences, including navigation, information architecture, templates, states, and reusable components, supported by a strong portfolio of flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Design System Leadership: Experience creating and maintaining Figma-based design systems, managing tokens, components, and patterns, and ensuring governance for adoption.
  • Service Design & Journey Mapping: Skilled in service blueprinting and translating business requirements into validated user flows across multiple touchpoints.
