About the role

Are you a Team Leader with a keen interest in driving customer focused data analytics deep inside our business? Energy Systems, a global business area inside DNV with over 5,000 employees working inside the Energy Transition, is recruiting a Global Data Intelligence Manager to join our Data Intelligence Team to work across sales, operations, finance, and HR data.

To reach our strategic goals we want to proactively utilize analytics, reporting & visualizations to provide forward looking cross disciplined insights to our business leaders to drive better decision making. With growing uncertainties in the world around us we are looking to build the tools with embedded Artificial Intelligence and predictive analytics that enable our business leaders plan in a performance focused and agile way.

In this role, not only will you take a leadership responsibility for a small team of data scientists, but you will also get the opportunity to shape the way we approach data analytics, setting trends and best practices in an ever-evolving energy transition.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day leadership to a team of data scientists
  • Developing a Future fit vision for data intelligence in Energy Systems
  • Aligning strategy with internal stakeholders, including alignment with DNV’s data strategy and architecture

About you

Reporting to the Energy Systems Finance & Performance Director, we are looking for a person with high interest and experience in developing user focused strategies to deliver data analytics and data governance strategies across large cross functional data sets. Do you want to build the backbone for driving all our business towards a new cross functional data driven way of working? If so, you will need:

  • Leadership experience with multiple project oversight.
  • Ability to provide user insights turning data into informed business decisions.
  • Experience in data modelling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and developing semantic layers using tools like PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Knowledge of coding in Python, R, and SQL.
  • Preferably familiar with statistical analysis methods and tools.

  • Highly interested in data analytics, innovation and new technologies.
  • Curious and you demonstrate foresight – you know what is happening in the field of expertise, how will it impact us and what can we do to adapt to it.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle complex data sets.
  • Excellent at engaging stakeholders and able to communicate and collaborate across different teams in DNV.
  • Able to create trust with users through robust delivery and strong relationship building.
  • Keeping a positive and proactive attitude, with a service- and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent at written and verbal communication in English.
