About the role
DNV ENERGY Insights USA, Inc. seeks a Energy Engineer (Technology Team) (multiple openings) to work for our office in Katy, Texas.
Job Duties:
- Support clients with technical support and research efforts on clean energy technologies programs and services (i.e., energy efficient equipment, electrification, hydrogen production, transportation, and usage; carbon capture, transport and storage, and energy storage). Identify and quantify the impacts of energy technologies, such as energy efficiency improvements to buildings.
- Perform third party review of complex energy efficiency measures, and perform inspections, and deploy monitoring equipment to verify successful operation of installed measures.
- Follow quality assurance protocols, conduct peer-reviews, and produce client-ready analyses and reports.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of measurement & verification plans and the completion of M&V reports.
- Balance multiple projects while keeping all items on-schedule and within budget expectations.
- Function in a team environment to cooperatively achieve DNV and project goals.
- This position requires 10% domestic travel. Remote work is acceptable.

About you
Main Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Architectural Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience as a Energy Efficiency Engineer or related role where required experience gained.
Special Skills: Also requires three (3) years of experience in the following:
- Calculating, measuring, and verifying the energy use of demand-side energy efficient technologies;
- Energy codes and standards (IECC, ASHRAE, etc.);
- Demand-side management program implementation and/or evaluation; and
- Commercial or residential energy efficiency technologies such as HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, lighting technologies and controls, and/or building management systems.
