DNV is seeking an EV Outreach Engineer. Join the team that is helping PNM’s commercial and industrial customers save energy and money. DNV has been retained by PNM to implement its energy efficiency and transportation electrification programs. The utility’s commercial and industrial customers will be eligible for technical and financial support to make their facilities more energy efficient.

This role is based at our DNV office in Albuquerque, NM presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

What You'll Do

  • Review and verify technical merits of Energy Efficiency and EV charging station incentive applications, including compliance with program terms and verification of technical specifications.
  • Perform non-residential customer site inspections to verify the installation of EV charging station equipment and associated infrastructure.
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with utility client, customers and potential customers.
  • Maintaining customer and project/opportunity information in CRM.
  • Understanding and taking action on industry trends and communicating them to project team.
  • Interacting with customers to address questions or concerns about installed equipment or programmatic information.
  • Helping customers to understand all elements of incentive programs.
  • Perform database queries and program data analysis to verify application details.
  • Review detailed engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Provide technical assistance in the form of trainings, formal presentations, and one-on-one face time to support project implementation for participating customers and program authorized contractors.
  • Respond to all technical inquiries regarding PNM’s programs, services, and incentives relating to EV charging station incentives.
  • Provide flexible support to other team members on an as-needed basis.
  • Work in a safe manner with attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About you

What Is Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering. An educational emphasis on energy, utilities, and/or transportation is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in related areas
  • Individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills for customer communication
  • Reliable transportation required; must be able to meet the requirements to drive for company business
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 25% of the time
  • Position will require onsite inspections and walking of the customer’s locations, which may include active construction sites. Ability to navigate these sites safely is required
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
